Starfire escapes to Earth, deciding to use her powers to help others. But after being kidnapped and experimented on, she gains the ability to channel that same energy into destructive blasts.
Starfire, also known as Koriand’r, is described as an alien princess from a warrior planet who seeks asylum on Earth. Starfire/Koriand’r can harness solar energy which she uses to fly. The show will be written by Akiva Goldsman (Star Trek: Discovery, Underground), President and CCO of DC Entertainment Geoff Johns (The Flash, Arrow) and Greg Berlanti (Arrow, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, The Flash, Supergirl).Īnna Diop’s character Starfire first appeared in a preview story that was part of DC Comics Presents #26 in October of 1980.
